Redskins trade No. 96 pick to Buffalo Bills

The Washington Redskins decided to trade out of their second third-round pick on Day 2 of the 2019 NFL draft.

According to ESPN’s Field Yates, the Redskins sent the No. 96 pick to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for the No. 112 and No. 131 picks, both fourth-round selections.

The Redskins had traded their original fourth-round pick this year when acquiring Ha Ha Clinton Dix. This is a way for the Redskins to get one of those picks back in the fourth round, then somewhat make up for losing the second-round pick they traded away to get back into the first round when they selected Montez Sweat at No. 26.

The Redskins will have a busy Day 3 with seven scheduled picks.
