Redskins sign TE Donald Parham

Fresh off shuffling around some names along the offensive line, the Washington Redskins decided to make a change at tight end too.

Friday, the Redskins announced they signed tight end Donald Parham, which didn’t require a corresponding roster move because they had waived tight end Manasseh Garner earlier in the week.

Parham is an undrafted rookie from Stetson this year who initially signed with the Detroit Lions before getting waived after rookie minicamp.

Now Parham gets another chance with a Redskins team looking pretty good at tight end going into the summer, too. Jordan Reed leads the way again with Vernon Davis as the next man on the depth chart, with Jeremy Sprinkle the other notable ready to step in if necessary.

As the latest in a bit of high-upside moves recently, Parham will get a fair shake to work his way into some playing time during the preseason.
