Redskins sign former Houston Texans cornerback Aaron Colvin

The Washington Redskins bolstered their depth in the secondary on Friday afternoon, signing veteran cornerback Aaron Colvin, who was formerly with the Houston Texans.

According to Ian Rapoport, Colvin signed with the Redskins on Friday afternoon, taking up one of the two spots left vacant after Washington moved both RB Derrius Guice and DL Caleb Brantley to the injured reserve.

Colvin was recently cut by the Texans after allowing the New Orleans Saints to complete a pass over the middle, allowing them to get into range for the eventual game-winning field goal.

In 2018, the Texans signed Colvin to a free-agent deal worth $34 million, with $18 million guaranteed.

The Redskins also announced on Friday that both CBs Fabian Moreau and Quinton Dunbar are either questionable or doubtful for the game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
