Redskins sign former AAF guard Salesi Uhatafe

The Washington Redskins are one of a handful of teams content to pluck talent from the AAF.

Offensive lineman Salesi Uhatafe is the latest get for the Redskins, which the team announced Monday. They also confirmed the addition of linebacker Andrew Ankrah, which was previously reported.

Uhatafe was a notable member of the Utah Stallions in the AAF, which was a local chance of sorts after he spent his college days playing at Utah.

Undrafted a season ago, Uhatafe spent time with a handful of different NFL teams a year ago but didn’t make much of an impact.

Now in Washington, Uhatafe will scrap for a roster spot over the summer at a position of need for the Redskins, where injuries and a lack of consistent play on one side remain an issue.
