Redskins sent pair of players to injured reserve

As part of the flurry of moves over the weekend, a pair of players going to injured reserve doesn’t register high on the scale.

Still, it was an event worth noting Sunday when the Redskins formulated their practice squad, then sent linebacker Jordan Brailford and running back Shaun Wilson to injured reserve.

Wilson was an undrafted talent out of Duke in 2018 who appeared in five games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before joining the Redskins in July.

Brailford was more familiar to Redskins fans as a seventh-round pick out of Oklahoma State this year. He led the Big 12 in sacks a season ago, so the team was looking for some rotational depth from a pass-rushing perspective.

With both guys moving to injured reserve, there is always a chance they get another shot. For now, they’re considered stashes.
