Redskins select Ohio State WR Terry McLaurin in third round

The Washington Redskins didn’t take long to make new franchise quarterback Dwayne Haskins feel comfortable.

With the No. 76 pick in the 2019 NFL draft, the Redskins grabbed Ohio State wideout Terry McLaurin to bolster the depth chart.

McLaurin caught 35 passes for 701 yards and 11 touchdowns a season ago before a strong predraft circuit in which he measured 6’0″ and 208 pounds.

A burner, the Redskins will use Haskins’ college teammate to stretch the field and hope he revitalizes a depth chart that struggled a season ago to get much out of names like Josh Doctson and Paul Richardson.

The Redskins clearly want to give Haskins the best chance at succeeding, so grabbing a former teammate at a major position of need seemed like an obvious decision.
