Redskins reportedly interviewing Tim Rattay for QB coach vacancy

The Washington Redskins reportedly have their eyes on Tim Rattay as their next quarterbacks coach.

Rattay, currently serving in the same position with Louisiana Tech, had an interview with Redskins coach Jay Gruden:

The Redskins need to fill the position after promoting Kevin O’Connell to offensive coordinator in a refreshing effort to keep promising upstarts along their coaching staff.

Rattay took an interview with Jon Gruden and the Oakland Raiders a year ago and is considered a rising name. He started his coaching career in 2011 a few years removed from retiring as an NFL player.

If he gets the job, Rattay will inherit a quarterback room missing Alex Smith, led by Colt McCoy and perhaps also containing Josh Johnson, if not other offseason moves.
