Redskins predicted to have worst record in the league in new projection

Predictions, projections, and prophecies. We’re just two days away from all Washington Redskins players reporting to Richmond, VA. for training camp, which means that all of the media pundits in the NFL are rushing to go on record with their predictions for the 2019 season.

USA Today’s Nate Davis recently put out his best guess, and it doesn’t spell success for the Redskins.

3-13, tied with the Miami Dolphins for the worst record in the league.

Davis notes that a tough start to the schedule against three playoff teams from 2018 (Eagles, Cowboys, Bears) will temper a hot start in Washington, and fears about Dwayne Haskins’ ability to come in and right the ship may be grounded.

Most predictions are grim for NFL teams who have not shown a reason for optimism just yet. The Redskins had a stellar offseason in which they retooled and hopefully set themselves up for a bright future. However, if Davis is correct, fans in Washington could be waiting at least another year for that bright future to arrive.
