Redskins players spend off day helping to paint an elementary school

While the Washington Redskins had the day off from practice on Friday, a few of the players took the time to get out into the community and do what they could to help.

A group headlined by running back Chris Thompson and punter Tress Way found an elementary school in the area and spent their morning helping to paint doors and walls the famous Redskins’ gold. Many of the players are not from the area, so the fact that they would take time out of one of their valuable off days to help kids that they will never meet is something special.

It’s the little things in a community that make the biggest differences.
