Redskins out as Josh Rosen destination after selection of QB Dwayne Haskins

Unless there is an agreed trade already in place with a team, the Arizona Cardinals have a dwindling marketplace for quarterback Josh Rosen. Two teams connected with Arizona as potential trade destinations have selected quarterbacks in the first round.

The New York Giants selected Daniel Jones with the sixth overall pick and now the Washington Redskins have selected Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins with the 15th pick in the draft.

The Cardinals drafted Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray first overall, seemingly signaling the end of Rosen’s tenure in Arizona after being drafted 10th overall just a year ago.

The Giants and the Redskins were the two teams most discussed as potential partners leading up to the draft. Now they certainly will not be in the market for Rosen.

What is left for the Cardinals?

The Miami Dolphins passed on a QB with the 13th pick so they could still be in play. Other teams mentioned as being interested are the Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots.

Of course, it is possible the Cardinals already have an agreed deal in place with a team, which is why teams like the Giants and Redskins drafted quarterbacks.

However, if the desired price for Rosen was a first-round pick, it seems less and less likely that will happen.
