The Washington Redskins have officially named Colt McCoy as the starting quarterback for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.
After avoiding the decision all week, the coaching staff and likely the front office finally made the call to insert McCoy into the starting spot after he spent the past year rehabbing from a broken leg. This will be the first game action that McCoy has seen yet this season.
The Patriots will present a brutal opening test for McCoy, as they have the best defense in the league and have been dominant against opposing quarterbacks so far.
