Redskins met with notable WR prospect at NFL combine

The Washington Redskins might just be on the hunt to get Terry McLaurin a running mate.

Just removed from cutting a notable name like Paul Ricahrdson Jr., the Redskins went public about a meet with South Carolina wideout Bryan Edwards, according to NBC Sports’ JP Finlay:

“South Carolina WR Bryan Edwards had an individual meeting with the Redskins. Tough break for him as he hurt his foot and won’t be able to run for 2/3 months. Could be good value if he slips to 4th/5th round bc of the injury.”

Edwards is one part of a very strong wideout class who put up big numbers at South Carolina over the last three seasons before announcing he broke his foot during combine prep:

It’s an unfortunate setback, though notable the Redskins made a point to meet with him.

The Redskins do have lots of promising wideout depth with guys like Kelvin Harmon, Cam Sims and Steven Sims. But adding another in Edwards at a good value could only help the outlook as the team brings along Dwayne Haskins under center.
