Redskins lose QB Josh Woodrum to torn pec

The Washington Redskins lost some quarterback depth coming out of their preseason opener against the Cleveland Browns.

There, fourth-round quarterback Josh Woodrum suffered a torn pec and is out for the season.

NBC Washington’s Sherree Burruss had the report: “Josh Woodrum tore his pec on Thursday. He’s out for the season and Gruden said they’re looking to bring a 4th QB in.”

That still leaves the Redskins with three passers on the roster, though it seems clear Jay Gruden might want to bring on another camp arm to take reps and especially take part in that fourth preseason game.

Woodrum, 26, was a 2016 undrafted free agent who took part in the AAF with the Salt Lake Stallions before joining the Redskins last April.
