Redskins keeping tabs on supplemental draft prospect Jalen Thompson

The Washington Redskins could end up being players in the NFL supplemental draft process again this offseason.

According to ESPN’s John Keim, the Redskins will use a service to make sure they have footage of safety Jalen Thompson.

Pro Football Talk provided numbers from the workout: “Thompson measured just over 5 feet, 10 inches and weighed 186 pounds with 8 3/8-inch hands and an arm strength of 31 1/4, according to Pauline. He had a 33 1/2 vertical and 40-yard dash times of 4.47 and 4.56, with a 4.16 in the short shuttle and a 6.98 in the three cone.”

The Redskins were far from the only team with an interest after Thompson lost his eligibility. But they’re notable because they already spent so much capital this offseason on the position with Landon Collins.

Even with high-upside depth pieces like Troy Apke on the depth chart, the Redskins could do well to add more if they feel the price is right.
