Redskins ink Deshazor Everett to a three-year extension on Sunday

It was announced on Sunday morning, just about 90 minutes before Washington gets set to kick off against the Buffalo Bills, that the Redskins have inked safety Deshazor Everett to a three-year contract extension.

Everett will be missing his fourth straight game on Sunday with a sprained ankle, but the Special Teams captain has 82 career tackles (51 solo), two interceptions, seven passes defended and one forced fumble.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed, other than the reported length. Everett has been a productive member of the Redskins defense and special teams, and the team likes him as a backup safety.
