Redskins have 3 of the top 40 QBs in the NFL according to ranking

The Washington Redskins may not enter the 2019 season with a star quarterback heading up their offense, but what they do have is three pretty good quarterbacks.

NBC Sports analyst Chris Simms recently finished a ranking of the top 40 quarterbacks in the NFL, and the signal callers in Washington made a dent near the back end of the list.

While Case Keenum is the first Redskin mentioned, coming in at No. 28, the real surprise is a few rows down, where rookie Dwayne Haskins is slotted one peg above Colt McCoy at No. 38 despite not having yet taken an NFL snap.

McCoy, of course, is not yet healthy after a devastating knee injury ended his 2018 season, but many believe that his experience in the Redskins’ system will vault him up into a formidable threat in this fall’s quarterback competition in Washington.

Simms may have ranked McCoy lower than Haskins because of the injury, or he may think that the talent displayed by the rookie so far this season is for real. Let’s just all be happy that the Redskins have three of the top 40 QBs in the league.
