The Washington Redskins could solve their problem at quarterback by acquiring Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles.
So says a new set of odds that lists the Redskins with the second-best chance at landing Foles:
Foles isn’t free of the Eagles yet, but he figured to be one way or another soon. He had a rare mutual option with the team, and unless the Eagles put a franchise tag on him in the hopes of a trade, he’ll head to free agency.
While Foles seems like a random option for the Redskins, the coaching staff has plenty of experience against him in the NFC East.
A year ago, suggesting the Redskins would swap out Alex Smith for Foles would have been met with a funny reaction. But the Redskins are now desperate, and that could explain the odds here.
