Redskins expected to be without TE Jordan Reed vs. Eagles in season opener

The Washington Redskins will travel up Interstate 95 on Sunday to face the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field and they’ll be without one of the NFL’s top tight ends. Ian Rapoport is reporting that Reed is unlikely to play as he continues to recover from a concussion.

Vernon Davis will likely get the start at tight end, but the loss of Reed should be significant. Reed was listed as “questionable” on the team’s final injury report after being limited in practice this week.
