Redskins center Chase Roullier working his way back from surgery

Yet another Washington Redskins offensive lineman is working his way back from injury this offseason.

This time it is center Chase Roullier, who played an incredible 100 percent of the team’s snaps last year before undergoing shoulder surgery.

Matthew Paras of the Washington Times caught up with the former sixth-round pick about his status:

“I just got it done this offseason to make sure it doesn’t hinder me in the future,” Roullier said.

At OTAs, Roullier has been working off to the side in the team’s rehab area. This offseason, Washington has used a variety of different offensive linemen with the first-team as many of last year’s starters work their way back from injuries.

Roullier has been a pleasant surprise for the Redskins since they drafted him in 2017, so he’s a key part of the operation going into next year. That Roullier played through the issue and is now already back on track is at least a good sign.

Provided everyone around him can stay on the field next season, Roullier should end up being one of the leaders on a unit that serves as a strength for the Redskins.
