Redskins agree to sign CB Ronald Darby for one year deal worth $4 million

The Washington Redskins have finally made a big-time signing in free agency, agreeing to a contract with cornerback Ronald Darby.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the deal is for one year, worth $4 million. Darby will immediately pencil in as a starting CB alongside Kendall Fuller, who the Redskins also signed this offseason. Both Fabian Moreau and Jimmy Moreland will rotate in.

Darby is a veteran CB who has had a solid career with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Buffalo Bills. In his career, he has eight total interceptions and 65 defended passes. He was also a Super Bowl Champion with the Eagles in SB LII.

One knock on Darby is his inability to stay healthy for long periods of time. Over the last three years in Philadelphia, he’s only played 28 total games.
