The Washington Redskins made a couple of free agency moves after their OTA session on Tuesday.
The Redskins waived linebacker DeMarquis Gates, who was signed by Washington in April after an impressive stint with the Memphis Express in the Alliance of American Football.
The Redskins also signed free agent defensive back Ashton Lampkin, who was released by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2018 off-season following an injury settlement.
According to the Arrowhead Addict, Lampkin showed promise on special teams as a rookie, but an injured ACL forced him to miss much of his rookie season as he spent time on the Injured Reserve.
Most recently, Lampkin was picked up and cut by the Cleveland Browns, though he never played a game with them.
