Reds pitcher Amir Garrett sensibly sprinted off the field to avoid fighting Kyle Schwarber

Back in July, Cincinnati Reds pitcher Amir Garrett had heard enough talk from the Pittsburgh Pirates dugout and ran over to confront … well, THE ENTIRE TEAM.

It was epic and wild, and even though Garrett stands at 6-foot-5 and 228 pounds, maybe it wasn’t the best idea.

Fast-forward to Wednesday night. Garrett struck out Chicago Cubs slugger Kyle Schwarber (6 feet, 235 pounds) and was extremely jazzed up, celebrating as he walked off the mound. Schwarber wasn’t pleased and started shouting at Garrett — if you’re a lip-reader, it wasn’t the most pleasant of things coming out of his mouth. So Garrett did the sensible thing, perhaps winking to what happened against the Pirates: He ran.
