Redhead Beach reopens after possible shark sighting

REDHEAD Beach has reopened after a possible shark sighting.

A Lake Macquarie City Council spokeswoman said surf life savers closed the beach around 10am on Easter Sunday morning after the surveillance drone spotted what appeared to be a bull shark near the bluff. The beach reopened just before midday.

"The beach was closed for just under two hours, as per our shark procedure, but has since reopened as there were no further signs," she said.
