Redgie the dog reunited with owner after wandering into Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth Hospital

Redgie the dog has been reunited with his owner after he wandered into Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital during lockdown.

The adorable lost pup caught the attention of ambulance staff yesterday morning after making a surprise appearance in a waiting area and "causing mayhem" before being calmed down with a sick bowl full of water and some leftover digestive biscuits.

A subsequent appeal was shared by Glasgow Live in a bid to get Redgie home after he was handed into the police station.

Thankfully, he's now back home in the grateful arms of his owner, Lynne Mallin, who commented on Facebook: "Big thanks to everyone that helped find Redgie and bring him home."

Before being taken in by the police, Redgie was looked after by ambulance worker Amy Baldock, who had just finished up her nightshift at the time.

She told Glasgow Live: "He wandered into the ambulance bays and was causing mayhem in the waiting area! He's a mental wee thing.

"We give him a bandage lead, a sick bowl for water and a couple of left over digestive biscuits."

Good work, Glasgow! Well done to everyone who helped in getting Redgie home!
