Reddit users have described their weirdest first dates.
Among the gems shared by users on the social website in response to the AskReddit thread, “What’s The Worst Thing That’s Happened To You On A First Date?”, are classic errors such as the gentleman who took his date to see Gone Girl despite not knowing what it was about.
Others are frankly just…strange.
User “MicroCock” describes taking his date back to his house after an evening together. The unnamed girl sees his semi-tamed toad outside.
“I explain he is cool and I knock beetles off my porch light for to eat and stuff she walks over to him, looks at me, like intense eye contact and proceeded to slowly stomp on my toad.”
After yelling at the girl – who claims she wanted to make him angry so he would “f***” her “hard” – he sprays her with his hose to make her leave. She does so, but comes back 20 minutes later, half naked and still yelling, before being accosted by local officers.
User “The_Ringleader” describes having a perfect date with a girl while at university, heading back to her room – and then having a three hour debate on whether the Big Bang happened. Turns out, his first date was part of an “ultra-Orthodox” Christian sect.
Finally, the award for best wingman ever goes to user “mrsheikh”. Set up on a double date, the user’s friend’s date also brought a friend – who “within 5 minutes of sitting down, this girl looks right into my eyes and says "We should have kids with each other."
“Being I was wing man, I stayed the whole time and roughed out the date. My friend ended up marrying the girl.”
