Redcliffe Hill assault sees man knocked unconscious

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Bristol that saw a man knocked out.

The assault took place on Redcliff Hill at the junction with Redcliffe Way at around 11:30pm on Friday, September 10.

A 21-year-old male was knocked unconscious in the assault, suffering facial injuries and a possible broken nose after hitting his head on the pavement.

The offender has been described as a white male with blond hair, wearing a white shirt at the time of the assault.

Two young men who assisted the victim following the incident are particularly being sought who police say "may have vital information to our ongoing investigation".

The victim was treated at Bristol Royal Infirmary after the attack.
