Red Sox pitcher Rick Porcello punched out two TV screens in dugout after frustrating start

The Boston Red Sox angered a lot of their fans by not making any moves before Wednesday’s trade deadline.

But it turns out they weren’t the only ones upset about life.

Rick Porcello, Boston’s starting pitcher Wednesday night against the Tampa Bay Rays, was not happy after giving up one run on two hits in the first inning.

The right hander, who would give up four more runs in the second inning, took out his frustrations by punching two TV screens in the dugout that allow Alex Cora and his staff to see the bullpens.

Porcello hit them so perfectly that they both broke.

Not cool, dude:

Porcello apologized for his behavior after the game, per NESN:

“Yeah, I hit them,” Porcello said. “Yeah, sorry, I forgot that I did that. It was a reaction of frustration, it’s not the behavior that I condone, obviously everybody gets frustrated, I kind of wish I did that without cameras being on me. I apologized to everyone that had to see that, yeah it’s just not behavior that I feel like is representative of me and my personality. The frustration got the best of me, so I apologize for that and to anybody that had to watch that.”

Porcello ended up taking the loss, as Rays won 8-5.
