Red Sox legend’s grandson hits monster home run in first game at Fenway Park

Baseball, you beautiful game, you.

Tuesday night was a special night in Boston when the Red Sox played host to the San Francisco Giants, even though both teams won’t be playing in the playoffs in a few weeks.

It was special because it marked the first time that Mike Yastrzemski, the grandson of Red Sox legend Carl Yastrzemski, would get to play in the stadium that his beloved grandpa called home for his entire 23-year Hall of Fame career.

Mike Yastrzemski, who plays left field just like his grandpa did, made it an even more special night when he stepped to the plate in the 4th inning and crushed a home run to center field.
