Red Industries acquires West Midlands industrial cleaning business

Hazardous and non-hazardous waste management company Red Industries has acquired a West Midlands industrial cleaning firm as part of its plans to expand.

The Newcastle-under-Lyme business has taken over Pro-Clean Industrial Services Ltd in Wednesbury for an undisclosed sum.

The deal is part of Red Industries’ strategy to become one of the leading waste management businesses in the UK.

The acquisition – which took place on December 14 – will also broaden the company’s reach and expand its industrial cleaning capability.

Adam Share, CEO and founder of Red Industries, said: “We are excited to incorporate Pro-Clean Industrial Services into our business. It was clear from ongoing discussions that our companies are well matched and aligned in terms of strategy, ethos, and focus for the future.

“The combined activities, facilities, knowledge and market share of Pro-Clean and Red will strengthen our regional and national capabilities and provide a great platform for future growth of the overall business.”

Red Industries is a ‘one-stop shop’ which provides complete waste management and environmental services from three facilities in Staffordshire and sites in Dudley and West Bromwich.

This year, the company was named in the London Stock Exchange Group’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain report and was one of 16 Midlands-based businesses in the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 league table.

The acquisition is the company's fourth acquisition in as many years. Since 2016, it has taken over Walleys Landfill, Environmental Resource Group in 2018 and Haz Environmental in 2019.

Pro-Clean has a 30-year operating history providing industrial cleaning and waste management services throughout the UK from its West Midlands base.
