Red-faced woman loses out on Tinder match after sending the wrong voice note

A woman missed out on a promising Tinder match after she went to send him a voice note - but got the recording wrong and sent the wrong part.

TikTok user Paolo Lujan, @ayopaolo, took to social media to share a story about his friend, Vanessa, and her troubles with online dating.

Vanessa had matched with a man named Alex and he sent over a voice note, explaining how it was nice to hear her voice and asking her questions about herself.

She then went to reply but somehow managed to send a recording of her and Paolo laughing, and to the Tinder match it must have sounded like they were mocking his sweet message.

What do you think about Vanessa's mishap? Let us know in the comments...

In a video that has been viewed over 800,000 times, Paolo wrote: "When my friend's Tinder match sent her voice note."

Then in the clip, Vanessa plays the note from her match, which goes: "Hi Vanessa, this is Alex, nice to hear your voice before, whereabouts are you staying in Vancouver?"

Paolo then explains that Vanessa wanted to send a reply, but got it wrong.

He continued: "She wanted to respond and accidentally sent this."

Vanessa then plays the note she sent in reply, and the pair can be heard cackling into the phone.

The viral video received countless comments, and some TikTok users felt sorry for Alex, while others thought that laughter was the correct response.

One wrote: "Not the group laugh!"

And then a second user said: "I don't think I'd recover from that if I'm the dude."

Then a third added: "That was a valid response."

The video was so popular that Paolo soon shared an update, documenting how Vanessa had sent the original TikTok video to Alex to explain the situation.

In the second clip, Vanessa wrote: "I'm sorry you're going viral lol."

"I meant to say something but then it just sent. I thought I had a re-do."

Alex then replied: "Haha thank you for the free exposure."

Vanessa then explains that the man blocked her a short while later.
