Let’s be clear. This is anything but a piece designed to bash the Red Dead Online beta. In fact, the complete Red Dead Redemption 2/Online package is quickly moving toward G.O.A.T status.

If RDO continues to come together after the first day of availability, I’m not sure I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing a more robust and fulfilling non-sports gaming experience.
That said, early in the beta, there are five things Rockstar needs to provide gamers with to fully enjoy the game.
Detailed Breakdown Of Every Multiplayer Mode
I was blown away with the number of options available in RDO. I knew Rockstar was cooking up something unique with the expansion, but I didn’t think it would be as layered as the experience that was partially unveiled on Tuesday. That said, we’ve got to get a full breakdown of each of these modes by next week I’d think.
The basic premise is pretty easy to follow in most of the modes, but when a game is as promising as this, fans will want all of the details.
Let’s have a deep dive on each of these, please.
More Character Creation Options
The character creation option has the basics: gender choice, body type, complexion, etc, but there really is no depth. It’s one of my few gripes with the actual game. Face and body sculpting would be ideal, and I’d also like to have the option for clean teeth.
The Ability To Create Multiple Characters
As of Tuesday, you could only create one character, that’s far too limiting. If I want to have a male and female character, that should be allowed. Hopefully, one of the upcoming updates will allow you to use multiple characters.
Detailed Explanation Of Character Traits And Progression

When you’re creating a character, you are allotted a designated amount of skill points to allocate across four categories. Each is simple enough to understand on the surface, but there are likely more nuances and details to learn that will help you better understand the advantages and disadvantages of your initial choices. I’d like to see some media or posts released by Rockstar that shed some light on character skill ratings.
The Ability to Mute Other Users
This one is kind of minor, but it’s still worth mentioning. As of now, you can’t mute other users and it took all of three online interactions for me to miss that option. I feel confident Rockstar will ultimately supply this to its fans. Hopefully, it’s sooner rather than later.
