Red Bull Salzburg send message to Liverpool on Twitter after completing Takumi Minamino deal

Red Bull Salzburg have joked with Liverpool on social media by asking which of their players they will be signing next.

The Reds completed the signing of Takum Minamino on Thursday, who will join Jurgen Klopp's side for £7.25m once the January transfer window opens.

With the formalities of the deal now finalised, the Japanese star will bolster Liverpool's squad in their pursuit of the Premier League, Champions League and the FA Cup.

Minamino becomes the third former Salzburg players to sign at Anfield, following in the footsteps of Naby Keita and Sadio Mane.

The latter joined, of course, from Southampton in 2016, having joined the Saints from the Austrian side.

Keita too made his route to Anfield via another club, in the form of Red Bull Leipzig, but came through the ranks at Salzburg before joining Liverpool in 2018.

Now, a further two years on, Klopp has his latest Salzburg prodigy, in the form of Minamino.

Blood Red: Takumi Minamino says 'it is a dream to play for Liverpool'

With that trend in mind, the Austrian club have cheekily highlighted Liverpool's transfer strategy and asked who their next purchase will be in 2022 and then 2024.

On their official Twitter account, Salzburg wrote: "Hey  @LFC , who's next?"

Minamino could make his debut for Liverpool in the third round of the FA Cup against Everton in January.
