Red Bull Salzburg fans bring Lime Street to a halt with chants and dancing ahead of Liverpool Champions League clash at Anfield

Red Bull Salzburg fans brought parts of Liverpool to a halt today, including Lime Street Station, as they chanted and danced along the street.

The fans were making their way up to Anfield before their Champions League group clash against Liverpool tonight.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport officials say 1,300 Red Bull Salzburg have flown into the airport for the game.

And a brilliant video shows the tourists in their scarves and shirts in a huge group outside the station surrounded by buses.

The fans start crouched down, as a man shouts instructions at them in German and they reply enthusiastically.

They then jump up and start dancing around while chanting.

In the minute long video the fans wave their scarves around and hug each other, as they get into spirit ahead of the game.

The fans were escorted by police up to the stadium ahead of the 8pm kick off later tonight.

Tonight marks the first home European game for the Reds since they claimed their sixth Champions League title in June.

But the away fans have been making their presence in the city known all day, as they've enjoyed drinks in city centre bars and pubs, as well as exploring the area, such as the famous Mathew Street.
