Red Bull has just purchased another sports team

Red Bull Newcastle (Organization) Rugby
  • Energy drink giant Red Bull has completed a takeover deal for Premiership Rugby club Newcastle Falcons.
  • The club will be rebranded as the Newcastle Red Bulls and will compete under this new name from the upcoming season.
  • The acquisition brings significant fresh investment to the struggling North East club, which has finished bottom of the Prem for the past three seasons.
  • This marks Red Bull's first major involvement in rugby union, expanding their global sporting portfolio which includes Formula 1 and football clubs.
  • Both Newcastle's director of rugby Steve Diamond and Prem Rugby CEO Simon Massie-Taylor expressed optimism that the deal will elevate the club and the league.
