Red Arrows Edinburgh flypass cancelled due to weather

The Red Arrows Edinburgh flypass has been cancelled today due to the weather.

It was scheduled to take place at around 11.29am, before heading to Prestwick at 11.39am, as part of the UK-wide event to mark the 75th anniversary of VJ Day.

Many Scots headed out to try to catch a glimpse of the aircrafts flying overhead.

But heavy clouds in the capital have put a stop to the planned flypass.

The Red Arrows have continued to their next stop of Prestwick, where they have made a schedule landing for refuelling.
