'Red 100%' - Arsenal and Man Utd fans can't believe Kevin De Bruyne wasn't sent off vs PSG

Arsenal and Manchester United fans aren't happy that Kevin De Bruyne managed to avoid a red card against PSG.

Prior to the end of the first-half, with Manchester City losing 1-0 going into the break of their Champions League clash, the Belgian made a challenge on former Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye that looked reckless to say the least.

The 30-year-old did initially get a toe to the ball but replays showed that his follow through was incredibly dangerous and left Gueye writing around in agony.

Gueye, who opened the scoring for PSG early on in the game with a tidy finish inside the box, looked to be badly injured but thankfully was given the all clear to continue playing just minutes later.

Still, the decision to allow De Bruyne to continue has angered many fans, as some believe that others would have been sent off without hesitation.

In particular, Arsenal and United fans were left feeling aggrieved as Granit Xhaka and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have been sent off already this season for challenges that were arguably in the same bracket as De Bruyne's.

Xhaka, who was given his marching orders following a bad lunge in the Gunners' 5-0 thrashing to City in August, was made to sit out three games for his offence.

Meanwhile, Wan-Bissaka was forced to miss most of United's loss to BSC Young Boys earlier this month, meaning he is suspended for their Champions League clash with Villarreal.

Take a look at what's been said on Twitter.

Although there will be debate over which challenge was worse, the main thing fans want to see is greater consistency in the future.
