Police lock down Moray recycling centre after 'device' found

Police have closed a recycling centre in Moray after receiving reports of a device had been found.

Emergency services rushed to the Recycling Centre in Keith around 12.35pm this afternoon.

The area has been cordoned off, with Moray Council saying the site would be closed "closed until further notice" in a post on Twitter.

They posted: "Keith recycling centre is closed until further notice. Apologies for any inconvenience."

Cops are still on the scene with bomb disposal squad on its way.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.35pm, police received a report that a device had been found at the Recycling Centre in Keith.

"Emergency services are in attendance and the centre is currently closed with an area cordoned off as a precaution.

"EOD on its way."
