A RECYCLING centre in Dundee is still ablaze five days after a fire broke out.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) was first called out to reports of a "large blaze" within a recycling centre on Wright Avenue, near Dundee Airport, after 5pm on Thursday.
Three appliances were initially sent to the scene.
In an update on Monday, the SFRS confirmed three appliances remain at the scene as crews work to extinguish the "deep-seated" blaze, STV News reports.
Residents in Dundee, Newport and Tayport have been advised to keep their windows and doors closed.
Area commander Bryan Todd said: “We were alerted at 5.44pm on Thursday, September 4, to reports of a fire within a recycling centre on Wright Avenue, Dundee.
“Three appliances remain in attendance as of 11.30am on Monday, September 8, with crews continuing to work towards extinguishing a deep-seated fire.
