'Rectify's' Abigail Spencer buys a Spanish charmer in Studio City

Jan. 05--Actress Abigail Spencer, who stars on the SundanceTV drama "Rectify," has bought a home in Studio City for $1.299 million.

The gated Spanish-style house, built in 1923, was recently renovated and expanded and features arched doors and windows, vaulted ceilings and a new master suite addition complete with two closets and a raised soaking tub.

A tiled kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a dining room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms are within more than 1,700 square feet of interiors. Built-in bookshelves, a wrought-iron chandelier and a fireplace highlight the formal living room.

French doors open to an inner courtyard done in bright Malibu and saltillo tile. Mature trees and drought-tolerant landscaping complete the setting.

The house came on the market in August for $1.349 million. It previously sold for $317,000 in 1999, records show.

Lisa Beth Summerfield and Marci Baron of Teles Properties had the listing, according to the Multiple Listing Service. Peter Lorimer of PLG Estates, Beverly Hills, represented Spencer.

Spencer, 34, has appeared on such TV series as "All My Children," "Mad Men" and the second season of the HBO's "True Detective." Among her film credits is "Cowboys Aliens" (2011) and "Oz the Great and Powerful" (2013).
