Recovery teams work to clear A77 in Ayr after HGV overturns at Bankfield Roundabout

This was the scene at Ayr's Bankfield Roundabout tonight as recovery teams worked to clear a horror smash involving an HGV.

The truck overturned and shed its load, leading to the closure of the southbound lane on the A77.

Recovery teams remain in place as work takes place to clear the carriageway.
