Record Store Day 2019 releases and where to go to buy vinyl in Newcastle

Expect to see queues of music fans dotted around Newcastle on Saturday as vinyl collectors will be hoping to snap up bargains and limited releases on Record Store Day 2019.

Record Store Day sees 200 independent music shops across the UK come together to celebrate music in its physical format.

Artists mark the day with special vinyl releases, made exclusively for the event. Many stores open early to cater for customers keen to get their hands on rare records, and host live performances to keep crowds entertained.

For a full list of Record Store Day releases, head here. Not every release will be available in each record store.

In Newcastle, six stores are officially taking part in Record Store Day 2019.
