Record Store Day 2019: Music fans queue up in Newcastle to get hands on limited releases

Collectors queued up from the early morning to snap up limited edition vinyls in Newcastle today.

Six of the city's record stores held events for Record Store Day 2019.

The event celebrates independent record stores, with 200 around Britain taking part.

Sam Fender is among the artists who released limited edition presses. The North Shields singer-songwriter signed copies of his 7", Play God, which were sold at Vinyl Guru in Westgate Road.

Beyond Vinyl, Reflex, RPM, Beatdown and JG Windows also took part, with a mix of in-store gigs, competitions and giveaways throughout.
