Scotland's coronavirus vaccine roll-out has failed to hit the promised million jags – by more than 400,000.

Health Secretary Jeane Freeman said in November that one million Scots would be vaccinated by the end of January, but the latest figures show just 575,897 have had their jag – despite almost one million doses being available.

Robyn Fryar hit and run killer Shaun Gatti has 'light' jail sentence upheld by judges as parents devastated

An evil hit and run killer who left Scots schoolgirl Robyn Fryar dying in the road after a late night crash has had his sentence upheld by a panel of judges.

Shaun Gatti was driving at speed and on the wrong side of the carriageway when he knocked the 15-year-old down as she crossed Glenburn Road, Paisley , at around 2am in July 2019.

Blizzards to hit Scotland as 15cm of snow expected to fall in week of weather chaos

Snow is set to batter Scotland in a week-long spell of wintry weather after multiple warnings were put in place.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning from Tuesday until Sunday as six days of snow and ice are expected across the country.
