Brendan Rodgers siege thug lost plot with partner as he struggled with lockdown

A distraught Celtic fan who demanded Brendan Rodgers return as manager during an armed siege with cops was back in the dock - over a lockdown rammy with his partner.

Shaun McConville famously also demanded "a bag of cans" and threatened to behead hostages - three weeks to the day after the Celtic boss left the Glasgow giants to manage Leicester City.

Nicola Sturgeon announces 58 coronavirus deaths in Scotland amid 822 cases

A further 58 coronavirus deaths have been recorded in Scotland over the last 24 hours.

The First Minister also announced that 822 new cases of Covid-19 were reported overnight, taking the total figure to 187,542.

WHO says Covid may not have started at Wuhan wet market as it reveals probe findings

Coronavirus may not have originated i n Wuhan after all, a team of investigators has said - scrubbing out the theory that a wet market or a 'lab leak' were to blame.

Today a team of experts from the World Health Organisation (WHO) said much about the virus' origins still remains a mystery.

Celtic and Rangers await Champions League fate as UEFA blasted over 'de facto closed' plans

An organisation of which the SPFL is a founding member has slammed UEFA for considering a closed-shop Champions League format.

All 55 member associations are set to hear UEFA's new plans for the tournament on Tuesday with two extra places thought to be available to countries with automatic group-stage qualifying based on their co-efficient ranking, calculated on historic performance.
