Man cleared of toddler attack after jury told her mum was reported to police

A young dad accused of breaking a toddler's legs has been cleared of assaulting the tot - after blaming the child's injuries on her mum.

A jury found the charge against Connor Murray, 21, not proven - after hearing the mum was reported to police and social services over her treatment of the child.

Met Office issues yellow weather warning for snow in Scotland

A yellow weather warning for snow is in place for parts of Scotland throughout Thursday morning.

The Met Office issued the update which began at 3am on Thursday morning and will stay until 11am.
