Dublin Airport has announced that 3 million passengers travelled through Dublin Airport in May.
The new record shows a 4% increase compared to the same month in 2018 making it a new May record for the Airport.
More than 1.6 million passengers travelled to European destinations from the capital last month.
As well as this, more than 884,000 passengers flew back and forth from UK destinations in May, a 2% increase compared to 2018.
Transatlantic traffic to and from North America increased by 8% last month with 412,500 passengers travelling on this route.
There was a 5% increase in traffic to the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific regions too - 72,600 passengers travelled on these routes during May.
In 2019 so far, 12.3 million passengers have travelled through Dublin Airport which is a year-on-year increase of 7% meaning the Airport has welcomed 764,000 extra passengers between January and May.
This comes as Ryanair announced that it was launching a new route to one of the most "beautiful" cities in the world from the capital.
The budget airline has announced a new route from Dublin to Marseille as part of its summer 2020 schedule.
The new route to the French city will run three times a week.

“This new service to Marseille will further enhance the connectivity between Ireland and France and is good news for passengers as it will offer additional choice and convenience. We look forward to working closely with Ryanair to promote its new service.”
