Kerala State Women’s Development Corporation Ltd. (KSWDC) has disbursed a record loan of ₹165.05 crore in the 2021-22 financial year, Minister for Women and Child Development Veena George has said.
The loan was given to 11,866 women beneficiaries. In its 34 years, this is the largest amount given as loan by the KSWDC. The corporation also received ₹112 crore in repayments in the same financial year.
The high government guarantee given to the corporation made it possible to provide loans to such a large number of people, the Minister said.
