Gunshots were fired outside a home after a gang chased another group.
Police received a call at around 9.50pm on Thursday, February 23 to a report that gunshots had been fired outside of a house on Carlingford Close in Toxteth after a group of men were chasing another group in the area. A cordon was put in place at around 11pm.
A huge police scene is still in place today. Officers have cordoned off Selborne Street, Carlingford Close and Granbry Street and fingertip searches were being carried out in the area.

Specialist officers were seen searching the roads and behind the walls leading to peoples back gardens. No injuries have been reported to police.
An investigation is underway and house-to-house and CCTV enquiries are ongoing in the local area.
Detective Inspector John Mullen said: "This was a reckless attack outside a home where a number of people were inside. Such incredibly dangerous attempts to intimidate and harm people will not be tolerated in our community.
"Our investigation is still in the very early stages and enquiries are ongoing in the area. I would appeal to anyone who was on Carlingford Close at the time and saw anything, or who may have doorbell, CCTV or other video footage, to contact police as soon as possible.”
