CHICAGO — Versa, a concert and music festival newly announced for Chicago, has been canceled. The event, first announced March 1, has been slated to have an all-female lineup of musicians, comedians and speakers, and had been planned for June 11-12 at Lincoln Park South Fields.
The cancellation, announced on Versa’s website (versafestival.com), was attributed simply to “unforeseen circumstances.” Organizers confirmed the statement to the Tribune Sunday:
"Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, VERSA Festival will not be taking place in Chicago this June. All ticket purchases will be fully refunded. Stay tuned for future updates."
Musical headliners were previously announced as Ellie Goulding, Kali Uchis, Kim Petras, Liz Phair and Monica, in an event produced by the new production company Four Leaf Productions.
