Recapping Andrew Luck’s significant injury history

Some big news dropped Saturday night as Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is informing the team of his retirement at the age of 29.

It has been no secret that the former No. 1 overall pick has been through the wringer when it comes to dealing with injuries. It seemed every season in recent memory Luck has been dealing with some type of ailment.

Part of the report from Adam Schefter of ESPN was that Luck is retiring due to the mental wear and tear the injuries have had on him.

The big injury was the labrum tear that required surgery in 2017—which eventually forced Luck to miss the entire season following a setback. But how extensive has Luck’s injury been?

Here’s a quick look at the various injuries Luck has dealt with throughout his career that we know of, per Zak Keefer of The Athletic.

Luck has been through it all. He miraculously came back in 2018 to earn the Comeback Player of the Year award, but frequent injuries appear to have taken a serious toll on Luck mentally.

Looking at that injury history, it goes to show just what Luck has been through during his career since entering the league as the No. 1 overall pick in 2012.
